Mae Kampong Village

How to Get Here
From Chiang Mai City
Head east on Route 1006 towards San Kamphaeng. Continue through San Kamphaeng and follow signs to Mae Kampong.

Take the highway east towards San Kamphaeng. The scenic route winds through tea plantations and forest.

Parking
Free parking available at the villa. The road to our entrance is narrow but paved.
Best Time to Arrive
We recommend arriving before dark (6 PM) as the mountain roads have no street lights. Check-in is available between 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Important Note
The last 2 km is a steep winding road, but paved and accessible by standard sedans (use low gear). 4WD is only recommended during heavy rain.

Explore the narrow winding streets of Mae Kampong, lined with wooden houses and local cafes. The walk from Villa Vadee to the community is 300 meters and takes 1-2 hours to explore. Perfect for experiencing the slow-paced charm of mountain life.

A refreshing hike to a secluded waterfall through lush forest. Best visited in the morning for the freshest air and best light.
Coffee Plantation & Hiking
Visit tea and coffee plantations with a nature hike led by a local guide. Learn about Arabica coffee cultivation and enjoy freshly roasted beans with stunning mountain views.
Kew Fin Viewpoint
A stunning spot for sunrise and sunset with year-round cool air, located at the border of Chiang Mai and Lampang. The road from the village is steep; using local community transport is highly recommended for safety.
